EARTHA KITT RECEIVES DAYTIME EMMY NOD SECOND YEAR IN A ROW, FOLLOWING 2007 WIN AS YZMA ON DISNEY'S POPULAR ANIMATED SERIES ‘THE EMPEROR’S NEW SCHOOL’

Following on the heels of her 2007 Daytime Emmy win for Outstanding Performer in an Animated Program, the legendary Eartha Kitt has received, for the second year in a row, a Daytime Emmy Award nomination in the same category, again for her role in “Disney’s The Emperor’s New School”. Ms. Kitt portrays the voice of Yzma ‘The Evil Advisor’ on the popular Disney Channel animated series for which she also received a 2007 and 2008 Annie Award for Best Vocal Performance in an Animated Television Production.
At 82, Eartha Kitt continues to enjoy a remarkable career that incorporates film, theater, cabaret, television and music. She just returned from London where she completed critically acclaimed sold-out performances at Club Le Pigalle and as the headliner at the prestigious Cheltenham Jazz Festival. Ms. Kitt will also return to New York’s Café Carlyle for a series of performance June 3-June 28th. In addition, her upcoming schedule also includes performances with symphony orchestras in Phoenix, Virgina, Minnesota and Massachusetts.
